How guests and AI assistants find York Harbor Inn

Prepared by Ethan Hawkes · checked 30 October 2026 (6:11 pm ET) · PDF copy

The short version. Your home page still ships a 2022 "Hotel Procedures Covid-19" notice in its code, tells machines your price is a single "$298", and carries a site-builder staging address in a hiring link.

What we checked

What we found on your site

A 2022 COVID-19 procedures notice is still in your home page code

The post (dated 2022-12-05) begins "Due to concerns and issues related to Covid-19, we are pleased to offer curbside check-in". Anything that reads page code, including AI assistants, can still pick it up as current policy.

Your price is published to machines as one number

A single figure reads as your rate, year-round. Guests asking an assistant "how much is York Harbor Inn" may hear $298 regardless of season or room.

A hiring link carries a site-builder staging address

The front-desk hiring link opens your real address, but its hover text shows an Elementor staging address. It looks unfinished to an applicant, and it publishes a staff address to scrapers twice.

Why it matters

Search engines and AI trip planners read the structured data block and the files at the root of your site to learn your basic facts. When those disagree with what a guest sees, machines either skip them or repeat the wrong version, and fill the gaps from booking sites instead of from you.
